Dr. Rizvi’s primary research and clinical interests are in the treatment of suicidal and self-injurious behaviors, focusing specifically on borderline personality disorder (BPD) using dialectical behavior therapy. Since most gun deaths are the result of suicide, developing and studying evidence based treatments for suicidal behavior has major public health significance.
