Objective
This study is exploring variations in gun carrying behavior of youth across states and time as influenced by the level of firearm regulations of the states. If stricter firearm regulations reduce access to firearms, we anticipate finding that youth who carry guns are more common in states with more relaxed gun laws. Additionally, we will explore how youth gun carrying behavior and firearm regulations influence gun violence (such as gun assaults and homicides).
