Using Artificial Intelligence Avatars to Examine Factors Impacting the Efficacy of Firearm Secure Storage Messaging

Objective:
This study further evaluates the ipartite Means Safety Messaging Framework  (TMSMF) through a series of experimental studies with firearm-owning adults in the United States. Given Dr. Hill’s team’s successful proof-of-concept for the utility of AI-generated safety messages as an experimental manipulation of message elements, they will utilize advanced AI software programs to manipulate characteristics of the messenger and message across experimental conditions. These studies will produce a large data repository for evaluation of the TMSMF.
