Thompson MD, Dawn

Dawn Thompson, MD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics who is a general pediatrician for 20 years, working in private practice, as a school physician, in hospital medicine, and as an outpatient doctor at Rutgers University Medical Group in Pediatrics. He cares for children in central NJ who are exposed to gun violence and feels strongly about children’s mental and physical protection. Dr. Thompson has not been involved in any research, however, her goal in joining the GVRC is to take part in research projects dedicated to her field. Her focus is developing a tool pediatricians can use in the outpatient setting to address firearms in the home and on the street.
