Objective:
To examine the criminal risk factors and health risk factors associated with being a victim and/or perpetrator of firearm injury in NJ. This study will merge violent injury data with criminal justice data to identify common risk factors and create a risk assessment for violent injury that uses information from both health and criminal justice systems. The intent of this study is to inform violence intervention efforts and identify opportunities for primary prevention.
